Sec 609 - Disclosures to Consumers

Section 609 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act grants consumers the right to obtain a full disclosure of their credit file from a consumer reporting agency, including all information contained in the report, the sources of any adverse entries, and the procedures used to compile the file. It also requires the agency to provide the consumer with any disclosures required by law regarding the use and restrictions on the report.
