Sec 611 - Procedure for Disputed Information

Section 611 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act sets out the procedure for consumers to dispute inaccurate information on their credit reports. It obligates consumer reporting agencies to investigate the dispute within 30 days, correct or delete any erroneous data, and provide the consumer with a written summary of the investigation's findings.
