Required Safeguards

The "Required Safeguards" entry under the FTC Standards for Safeguarding Customer Information (16 CFR § 314) specifies the technical, physical and administrative measures firms must implement to protect consumer data. It includes access controls, encryption, secure disposal, employee training and regular risk assessments to prevent unauthorized access, use or disclosure.
