Title IV - Unitary Savings and Loan Holding Companies
Title IV of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act creates the unitary savings and loan holding company model, allowing a single holding company to own both a savings association and a bank or other financial subsidiaries under unified supervision. It requires registration with the Federal Reserve, imposes capital standards, and subjects the holding company to consolidated supervision and consumer-privacy rules.
