Stakeholder engagement

Stakeholder engagement under IFC Performance Standard 1 requires project developers to identify, inform and involve individuals, groups and institutions affected by or interested in the activity throughout its life cycle. It calls for transparent communication, meaningful consultation, and the incorporation of stakeholder feedback into decision-making to address concerns, mitigate risks and enhance project sustainability.
