C100 - Equal Remuneration Convention
C100, the Equal Remuneration Convention, is an ILO core instrument that requires member states to promote and enforce the principle of equal pay for men and women for work of equal value, defining the concepts of equal remuneration and providing a framework for legislation, collective bargaining and administrative measures. Adopted in 1951, it obliges ratifying countries to eliminate gender-based wage differentials and to ensure effective remedies for violations.
