8.4 Analysis of data

Section 8.4 of ISO 13485:2016 requires manufacturers to plan, collect, and evaluate data related to product performance, processes, and compliance, using statistical or other appropriate methods. The analysis must identify trends, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement, and the results must be documented and acted upon to maintain the effectiveness of the quality management system.
