5.2 Environmental policy

Clause 5.2 requires an organization to define a documented environmental policy that reflects its commitment to protect the environment, comply with applicable legal and other requirements, prevent pollution, and pursue continual improvement. The policy must be appropriate to the organization's context, be communicated internally and externally as needed, and serve as the basis for setting environmental objectives and targets.
