9.2 Internal audit

Clause 9.2 of ISO 14001:2015 requires the organization to conduct internal audits at planned intervals to assess the conformity of its environmental management system with the standard and its own requirements, and to evaluate its effective implementation and performance. Audits must be objective, impartial and documented, with findings used to drive corrective actions and continual improvement.
