8.1 Operational planning and control

ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 requires organizations to establish documented processes for planning and controlling service operations, aligning resources, schedules and procedures with defined service requirements and policies. The clause mandates ongoing monitoring of performance, management of changes, and implementation of corrective actions to ensure services meet agreed service levels and maintain continual improvement.
