8.5 Service design, build and transition

Section 8.5 of ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 defines the requirements for service design, build and transition within an IT service management system. It requires organizations to plan service designs, develop and test service components, and manage the controlled transition of those services into operational use while meeting defined objectives and stakeholder expectations.
