8.4 Control of externally provided processes

Clause 8.4 of ISO 21001:2018 requires educational organizations to establish controls over any external processes, products or services that can affect their management system, ensuring they are selected, evaluated and monitored against defined criteria. The organization must maintain documented information on these controls, assess risks, communicate requirements to providers and verify that outsourced activities meet the intended quality and compliance objectives.
