4.3 Determining the scope of the FSMS

ISO 22000:2018 clause 4.3 requires an organization to define the limits and applicability of its Food Safety Management System, specifying the products, processes, sites and interactions that are covered. The scope must be documented, justified and communicated, ensuring that all relevant hazards and regulatory requirements are addressed within the defined boundaries.
