8.3 Traceability system
Section 8.3 of ISO 22000:2018 specifies that an organization must establish, implement and maintain a documented traceability system capable of identifying product identity, ingredients and each step of the supply chain, both forward and backward. The system must enable rapid response to safety incidents, support product recalls or withdrawals, and be integrated with the overall food safety management and HACCP processes.
