9.2 Internal audit

ISO 22000:2018 clause 9.2 mandates that organizations perform internal audits at planned intervals to confirm that the food-safety management system meets the standard's requirements and operates effectively. Audits must be carried out by competent personnel, documented with findings and corrective actions, and followed up to ensure continual improvement.
