4.3 Determining the scope of the KMS

In ISO 30401:2018, clause 4.3 requires an organization to define the boundaries and applicability of its Knowledge Management System, specifying the processes, stakeholders, products and services, and external and internal issues it will address. The scope must be documented, aligned with strategic objectives, and reviewed periodically to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
