4.1 Understanding the organization and its context

Clause 4.1 requires the organization to identify and analyze internal and external factors that affect its AI management system, such as market conditions, regulatory environment, technological capabilities and stakeholder expectations. This analysis establishes the context in which AI processes operate and informs the definition of the system's scope, objectives and relevant requirements.
