8.1 Operational planning and control

Clause 8.1 obliges an organization to set up documented processes that plan, implement and control activities affecting energy performance, allocating resources and defining responsibilities to achieve its energy objectives. It requires the establishment of operational controls, monitoring of key parameters, and corrective actions when actual results deviate from the planned energy-performance targets.
