5.2 Policy

The organization shall define an asset-management policy that aligns with its strategic objectives, demonstrates commitment to continual improvement, and sets the scope, responsibilities and authority for the asset-management system. The policy must be appropriate to the organization's context, communicated to relevant parties and periodically reviewed for continuing suitability.
