6.3 Planning of changes

Entry 6.3 of ISO 9001:2015 requires organizations to plan any changes to the quality management system in a controlled manner, assessing potential impacts on processes, resources and compliance, and integrating risk-based decisions. The plan must define objectives, responsibilities, and necessary documentation, and ensure that changes are communicated to relevant parties before implementation.
