Performance Evaluation (Art 56)

Performance Evaluation is the systematic assessment of a in-vitro diagnostic device's analytical and clinical performance to demonstrate conformity with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2017/746. Required by Article 56, it involves comparison with reference methods, clinical studies and ongoing post-market surveillance to ensure safety and effectiveness.
