Performance Studies (Art 57-77)

Performance studies, governed by Articles 57-77 of the In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices Regulation (EU) 2017/746, are investigations that evaluate the analytical and clinical performance of an IVD. They may be conducted by the manufacturer, an authorized representative, or an independent body and must follow a predetermined protocol, with results documented in a technical file to support conformity assessment.
