The peer review mechanism is a structured process whereby KPCS participating states evaluate each other's implementation of the certification scheme, sharing findings on compliance with export controls and illicit-trade safeguards. It enables transparent assessment, identifies gaps, and supports corrective action to maintain the integrity of the diamond trade.
