Chapter V - Jurisdiction and Registration

Chapter V sets out the jurisdictional reach of the NIS2 framework and the mandatory registration of operators of essential and important digital services, specifying which entities fall under the rules, the territories in which they must comply and the procedures for notifying national competent authorities. It also defines the coordination mechanisms between Member States to ensure consistent oversight and enforcement across the Union.
