Subpart J - Welding and Cutting

Subpart J of OSHA's construction safety standards sets the mandatory requirements for welding, cutting, brazing and other hot-work operations on construction sites, covering ventilation, fire-prevention measures, personal protective equipment and training. It also establishes procedures for permits, inspection and control of hazards such as fumes, sparks, burns and fire exposure to ensure worker safety.
