Subpart P - Excavations

Subpart P establishes the OSHA safety requirements for excavation and trench work on construction sites, including protective systems, soil classification, daily inspections, and safe access. It mandates measures such as sloping, shoring, shielding, and employee training to prevent cave-ins, falls and related hazards.
