Subpart X - Stairways and Ladders

Subpart X of OSHA's construction safety standards (29 CFR Part 1926) sets requirements for the design, construction, installation, inspection and use of stairways and ladders on construction sites. It specifies dimensions, load capacities, guarding, placement and maintenance to protect workers from falls and related injuries.
