Liability for Unauthorised Transactions (Art 73-74)

The PSD2 establishes that the payment service provider is liable for any unauthorized transaction unless the user acted fraudulently or failed to keep authentication data secure. Under Articles 73-74, liability may shift to the user if they neglected to follow required security procedures, and the provider must reimburse the consumer promptly after verification.
