Chapter III - Life-Saving Appliances

Chapter III of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea sets standards for life-saving appliances on ships, specifying requirements for lifeboats, life-rafts, personal flotation devices and launch equipment, as well as procedures for inspection, maintenance and crew training to ensure effective emergency evacuation.
