Award and termination

The UNCITRAL Model Law's "Award and termination" provisions set out how a final arbitral award must be rendered, its binding effect, and the procedures for correction, interpretation and limitation periods, while also defining the grounds on which arbitration may be terminated, such as settlement, withdrawal, failure to form a tribunal or lack of jurisdiction. These rules aim to ensure clarity, enforceability and efficiency in international commercial arbitration.
