Model Law on Secured Transactions

The UNCITRAL Model Law on Secured Transactions provides a uniform legal framework for creating, perfecting and enforcing security interests in personal property, aiming to modernize and harmonize secured-credit practices worldwide. It sets standards for priority rules, collateral enforcement and creditor-debtor relations, and has been adopted or adapted by many national legislatures to facilitate cross-border lending.
