International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea
The International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea is an independent judicial body created by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea to settle disputes arising from the interpretation and application of the Convention. Based in Hamburg, it consists of 21 judges elected for nine-year terms and can issue binding rulings on maritime boundary, fisheries, and navigation issues.
