Art 9 - Regulation of contents of tobacco products

Article 9 of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control obliges parties to regulate the contents of tobacco products, requiring limits on additives, nicotine, tar and other harmful constituents, and to mandate disclosure of product composition to authorities and consumers, with the aim of reducing addiction, toxicity and the appeal of tobacco.
