Part II - Objective and Guiding Principles

Part II of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control states the treaty's objective to protect present and future generations from the health, social and environmental harms of tobacco, and sets guiding principles that include the promotion of public health, the use of evidence-based measures, the precautionary approach and international cooperation in tobacco control.
