Article 7 - Transparency

Article 7 of the WTO SPS Agreement requires members to ensure that any sanitary or phytosanitary measure is promptly published, accessible, and transparent, allowing interested parties to review the measure's content and rationale. It also obliges governments to provide opportunities for public comment and to disclose any related scientific evidence, technical information, and the procedures used in decision-making. This promotes predictability and accountability in trade-related health regulations.
