Fipronil

Fipronil is a synthetic phenylpyrazole insecticide and acaricide that disrupts GABA-gated chloride channels in the nervous systems of insects and ticks. It is employed in agricultural seed treatments, veterinary flea and tick products, and structural pest-control formulations for ants, termites and other pests.
