Cat 1 - Purchased Goods and Services

Category 1 of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard Scope 3 covers emissions from the extraction, production and transport of goods and services that a company purchases. It includes all upstream activities linked to raw materials, components, capital equipment, and outsourced services, representing the largest share of many organisations' indirect carbon footprints.
