Cat 5 - Waste Generated in Operations

Category 5 of the Scope 3 GHG Protocol covers emissions from waste generated in a company's own operations, encompassing the treatment and disposal of solid and liquid waste such as landfill, incineration, recycling and biological treatment. It quantifies the carbon impact of waste handling activities that occur after the waste leaves the point of generation within the organization.
