Tic disorders
**Definition:** Disorders characterized by brief, sudden, repetitive movements (motor tics) or utterances (phonic or vocal tics) that are temporarily suppressible and are usually preceded by a strong urge to perform the tic. The most common cause of childhood-onset tics is Tourette Syndrome.
