Epilepsy of infancy with migrating focal seizures

**Definition:** Epilepsy syndrome with onset between the first week of life and seven months of intractable, polymorphous focal seizures. Psychomotor development progressively deteriorates. A mutation of SCN1A may be found. The EEG shows multifocal, varying sites of seizure onset, and diffuse slowing.
