Postprocedural meningitis

**Definition:** Inflammation of the meninges due to a procedure. The syndrome is clinically characterised by headache, neck stiffness, fever and photophobia. Diagnosis may be aided by neuroimaging and spinal fluid analysis which may reveal a lymphocytic pleocytosis and raised protein.
