Infectious intermediate uveitis
**Definition:** This is an infectious form of uveitis localised to the vitreous and peripheral retina. Primary sites of inflammation include the vitreous of which other such entities as pars planitis, posterior cyclitis, and hyalitis are encompassed. Infectious intermediate uveitis can occur due to syphilis, tuberculosis, Lyme disease or other infectious diseases.
