Eales disease

**Definition:** Eales disease is a retinal vasculopathy that presents as an inflammatory stage with retinal periphlebitis affecting especially peripheral retina, then an ischemic stage with sclerosis of retinal veins, and finally a proliferative stage characterised by neovascularization, haemorrhage and retinal detachment.
