**Definition:** This group incorporates oesophageal and gastroduodenal disorders which principally present unpleasant upper gastrointestinal complaints without apparent morphological changes of oesophagus and gastroduodenum.

**Exclusions:** - Bodily distress disorder - Hypochondriasis
