Fetus or newborn affected by surgical procedure on mother

**Definition:** A group of conditions characterised by findings in the fetus or newborn due to conditions in the mother resulting from surgical health intervention.

**Exclusions:** - Fetus or newborn affected by caesarean delivery - damage to placenta from amniocentesis, caesarean section or surgical induction - previous surgery to uterus or pelvic organs - Termination of pregnancy, affecting surviving fetus or newborn
