**Definition:** A genus of gram-positive, anaerobic bacteria in the order EUBACTERIALES and phylum BACILLOTA. This genus is known for the type species Neglecta timonensis which was discovered in the stool of a patient with DIABETES MELLITUS, TYPE 2.
