**Definition:** A fucosylated derivative of monosialotetrahexosylganglioside (GM1) and tumor antigen associated with small-cell lung cancer (SCLC). Fucosyl-GM1 is specifically expressed in SCLC while minimally or not expressed on healthy, normal cells; it plays a key role in tumor cell proliferation and may be a biomarker to detect the presence of these cancer cells.
