ALVAC Vaccine

**Definition:** A derivative of the Canarypox Virus, ALVAC can infect mammalian cells but it can't replicate. Thus, it produces a self-limiting infection which does not produce symptoms or harm the host. When carrying foreign genes it will cause transient expression of protein.
