Follicular Helper T Cell

**Definition:** A subtype of antigen-experienced CD4+ T cells that are primarily found within B cell follicles near the periphery of secondary lymphoid organs and are involved in the formation and maintenance of germinal centers. These cells express CXCR5 and CD40L and secrete IL-21 and IL-4.
