**Definition:** Hyaluronidase-1 (435 aa, ~48 kDa) is encoded by the human HYAL1 gene. This protein is involved in the random hydrolysis of linkages between N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosamine and D-glucuronate residues in hyaluronate.
